Any full suspension bike for under 240GBP or $400USD is JUNK and not worth the money, especially new! Now thats not saying you cant find one used for that kind of money....thats possible but I cringe when I think of the condition that it might be in for even that price. Used and f/s is tricky, you never know how that frame was used and weather or not it is worth it until you get it and then you are stuck with it...
You want any full sus bike that is over 600GBP or roughly $1000 and up otherwise stick to a good hardtail bike for your $400!
the link above is a perfect example of a REAL f/s bike anything under your price range will be a mistake!
You won't get a real full-suspension MTB for that price new but you could buy an older one secondhand; before you buy you should familiarise yourself with the kinds of damage to be found on mountain bikes; cracks on the frame can be hard to spot.
You can definitely buy a nice mountain bike for £200 but it's going to be a few years old.
as mentioned, full sus bikes for such a low price are trash.
the main reason is massively heavy, cheap metal which is liable to crack at the welds or on the posts themselves.
the forks and shock will be very cheap brands. there will be no way to adjust the shock to your weight and you will waste most of the energy pedaling in bouncing up and down on your cheap, probably creaky springs. frankly i would want to spend that on the frame alone without any componants attatched
save up a bit more and buy a hardtail (front suspension) which are cheaper and for that price, better
